About my fundraising

In a moment of madness having avoided ever running in any race before (even walking cross country at high school) I have decided to run the Chester half marathon to raise money for One Brick at a Time see http://onebrick.org.uk for more details. I have been training for the past 5 weeks and am determined to do get around without walking!!!

One Brick at a Time (OBAAT) is an international partnership project led by Chester & District Housing Trust (CDHT), Volunteer Missionary Movement (VMM), Liverpool Hope University (LHU) and the Mountains of the Moon University (MMU) in Fort Portal, Uganda. The OBAAT initiative has a proven track record and at present works primarily through a skill exchange between UK construction colleagues and Ugandan construction trainees and graduates. This is achieved by both groups working on key education construction initiatives working alongside schools and other educational sectors in the Rwenzori region of Uganda.
