Swim to the Isle of Wight - What !

To raise money for Alzheimer research and for the West Wight Sports Centre Trust, this summer I will be dodging jelly fish and boats and risking huge tides to swim across the Solent.

As well as being a major personal challenge - to keep some focus on health and fitness - it is to raise money for:
a) currently underfunded research into a medical condition that more and more people will be affected by in future; and
b) an area of great natural beauty, but with a level of deprivation (like many UK seaside communities).

Contributions will be split to help make a great difference to crucial medical research; and to a local community for local facilities, which would otherwise be unaffordable.

Due to the nature of the event a great deal of organisation and safety planning is needed, so a team of dedicated people are already hard at work to make this a safe and successful event. They do this for the benefit of the charities, which I am very pleased to support.
