About my fundraising
In July 2009, Peter & Kay Bates visited Nkope in Malawi. They found the dormitory accommodation at the blind school totally inadequate - particularly for the girls. 12 girls share single beds in a dormitory which should take 6 at a maximum. More girls arrive each term - a lot are orphans and others are abandoned by their parents. Beverley Norton is supporting this charity by being sponsored for her walk along the West Highland Way in June 2010. Moneys raised will go directly to fund a project to build a new hostel via the Malawi Association for Christian Support.
