About Northern Initiative On Women and Eating
NIWE Eating Distress Service (Legal name Northern Initiative on Women and Eating) NIWE provides support to all those in the North East of England who are affected by eating distress. We do this by providing a telephone help line, therapeutic work and information. We aim to increase knowledge and awareness of eating distress and its effects through research and training. Our service complements existing provision.
Objectives Our main objectives are: - To provide support services to all those, but particularly women, suffering from eating distress - To support the families, friends and carers (including health professionals) of those who suffer from eating distress - To promote greater knowledge and heighten awareness of eating distress and its effects
