I am running the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 6 April 2014 for THE TOFTA EDUCATIONAL TRUST, which is a UK charity supporting the education of children in UGANDA, Kenya and other East African countries.

In particular the charity supports students of LORDS MEADE VOCATIONAL COLLEGE, Njeru, Uganda - lordsmeade.org - a school founded by a family friend of mine, JOHN KIRKWOOD.

Your donations will go towards the education of children, perhaps orphans who are supporting their own siblings.

Another friend of mine, who was born in Uganda, has visited the school and has confirmed to me that this is a very worthwhile cause and a great way to support African communities.
