About National Youth Music Theatre

Established in 1976, the National Youth Music Theatre represents the very best in work with young people through musical theatre. For over thirty years it has enabled young people across the UK to develop both their creative and personal potential, leading Andrew Lloyd Webber to dub it "the best youth music theatre in the world".

All of the young people who take part in NYMT's activities testify to its benefits, describing it as a life-changing experience. Not only do they extend their skills within the main disciplines of musical theatre (acting, singing and dance) they also develop key learning and life skills: the ability to work as part of a team, improved communication skills, increased confidence and growing self-esteem.

The National Youth Music Theatre is a small arts charity with no core funding and relies upon participants' fees, ticket sales from productions and income generated through fundraising. With your support we can provide essential bursaries to ensure that everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, has access to the incomparable opportunities we have to offer. Thank you.
