About Irene Taylor Trust 'Music in Prisons'
The Irene Taylor Trust 'Music in Prisons' runs innovative music projects for small groups of offenders in prisons and other secure facilities throughout the UK.
These positive experiences of creating music help the process of rehabilitation, education and the development of other transferable life skills necessary for offenders' successful reintegration in the community.

A donation of £100 could help us to: Enable one project leader to work with 6 prisoners, giving them the chance to take part in a creative music project that will build their confidence and skills; undergo essential repairs to instruments in preparation for projects; or provide a group of 30 prisoners with a professionally recorded CD of the music they created as a lasting reminder of their achievements.

1) TO PROMOTE, SUPPORT AND MANAGE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CREATIVE ARTS AS A REHABILITATIVE ACTIVITY AMONG MEMBERS OF SOCIETY DEEMED IN NEED OF HELP; 2)TO OFFER INTO PRISONS, PROBATION SERVICES, HOSPITALS AND EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS, CREATIVE INITIATIVES AND PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO RE-INTEGRATE THOSE IN SUCH FACILITIES INTO THE COMMUNITY; AND 3) TO PROVIDE CREATIVE ACTIVITIES IN THE COMMUNITY FOR ALL THOSE WHO MIGHT BENEFIT FROM SUCH PROGRAMS AND TO PURSUE ALL OTHER SUCH ACTIVITIES AS MAY BE BENEFICIAL FOR THE INTEGRATION OF THOSE WHO ARE DISABLED PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY, THOSE WHOSE POVERTY OF LIFE DIMINISHES OPPORTUNITY AND THOSE AT SIGNIFICANT RISK OF COMMITTING CRIMINAL OFFENCE
