MILLY'S MILES

Maya and I are doing a 500 mile bike ride along the West coast of Scotland starting on the 25th April 2011 in 10 days for our charity The Laila Milly Foundation.

Our daughter Laila was born in 2010 with a rare neurological condition called Aicardi syndrome with meant that she suffered from epilepsy, a heart condition and fed via gastrostomy amongst other health problems. Sadly our beautiful and brave daughter passed away in March 2011 aged just 12 months.

We're raising funds to set up a specialist day centre for families who have a child/children who are severely disabled or have a life limiting condition. We understand first hand how hard it is to be not only a parent but a carer on duty 24 hours a day. This is why we want to provide regular day respite and support to families.

The money we raise from the bike ride will go towards creating a sensory room which is going to cost £20,000 to install.
