My story

The day started with the usual summer holiday routine, wake up, have breakfast, feed stray cats and dogs and head to the beach.
On that day the routine was disrupted. One of the stray puppies didn't come asking for food. This never happen before. We searched for him and it emerged he was run over by a car and left on the street for dead.
After seeing a VET and nursing him for 2 days he couldn't escape saddened fate and had to be put down.
Whilst this was going on his sister was completely lost and seemed confused because they were always together. She followed her brother's lead everywhere.
Millie's story started to unfold.

She was the last surviving member of a 3 strong litter. Her mother was a stray and also succumbed to a saddened fat and was poisoned few days after being spayed. The suffering had to end!

Millie's new journey began.

I decided to bring her back to England. I only had 4 days in which to arrange everything. This included her passport, microchipping, vaccinations and documents to allow her to travel by air.
Her arrival was scheduled for 3 weeks after i left Greece.
I was nervous with anticipation and was counting down the minutes.
I was a little concernedto how the meeting between Nico (my current dog) and Millie will go. What will Nico's reaction be to the new member of the family?
Luckily Nico and Millie bonded straight away.

There are thousands of stray dogs and unlike Millie they face an uncertain future. One without happy ending.
Not many people would rescue a dog on holiday like i did. I am not asking you to rescue and adopt a Greek dog, You very welcome to if you wanted.
Ask yourself this questions;

What could you do to help?
if you knew that you could make a difference betweek life and death by stopping the starvation on the streets, Would you be brave to do it?
Would you like to prevent the vicious cycle repeating by preventing the street dogs from breeding?

Please, if you are willing to help by donating any spare change towards my fundraising effort helping Greek Animal Rescue (charity registration No. 802243) neutering the street dogs of the island of Lesvos Greece.
I have raised £500 this far and the neutering program will commence soon.

Your support is very important and appreciated!
The more money we raise, the more happy tails will be wagging on the Lesvos' streets.

Thank You very much.
God Bless.
