About ME Research UK
ME Research UK is a national charity funding biomedical research into Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (also known as ME/CFS), a debilitating illness which affects between 120,000 and 240,000 people in the UK alone, but which is not well understood nor, in many cases, properly recognised. Our principal aim is to commission and fund high-quality scientific (biomedical) investigation into the causes, consequences and treatment of ME, but we also have a mission to "Energise ME Research" globally. We are a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation.

Our priority is to support novel clinical and biomedical studies, and we fund the work of a growing number of scientists in the UK and worldwide.
