My youngest nephew was diagnosed with Leukemia nearly 4 years ago. He went through 3 long and painful years of treatment and came out exhausted but smiling. Now, just 6 months after the all-clear, it's back and he faces another 2 years of hospital visits when he should be playing the drums, giving my sister grief and most of all skating with his mates.

He has spent a lot of time a Alder Hey childrens hospital and they have been fantastic throughout. I'd like to raise some cash to send their way and help them continue to do what they do.

My plan is to walk to work which sounds unspectacular but it's approx 30 miles, I'll be using public footpaths as much as possible, and I am aiming to arrive at work for 9:00am as usual.

For the 'last' 20 or so miles, Grandpa Francis will be joining in the, er, fun.
