About my fundraising
The centre is developing a befriending outreach service for those on the cancer journey within its catchment area. The centre wants to help cancer patients and their carers to move along that journey with empowerment of knowledge, understanding and self growth, so they can make informed choices. Volunteers will be outreaching to homes, hospitals and hospices to help support those affected. The centre hopes to act as a model for other boroughs to follow with the need to cushion the gaps in cancer care that can happen with the high demands of the NHS.
