About my fundraising
The Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) is an Inshore Rescue boat and Land Search organisation covering the Severn Estuary and upper reaches of the River Severn. The membership is made up entirely from volunteers, with no paid staff. As a registered charity, all funding is raised by way of donations. SARA provides rescue services in areas the RNLI does not cover, and has an additional special role in tackling the growing menace of flooding in the upper reaches.
To help raise funds for SARA, on August 1st this year I will abseil 200ft down the SE side of Tidenham Quarry (National Diving and Activity Centre) onto a small floating pontoon. Please sponsor me!
