Funds raised may be used to ...

Funds raised may be used to clear landmines and other unexploded ordnance, such as cluster bombs. It could be used for collecting and destroying small arms and light weapons, such as guns. Or, it could be used for community liaison - working with local communities to provide mine risk education.

1) THE RELIEF OF SUFFERING AND DISTRESS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD, IN PARTICULAR IN AREAS WHERE CONFLICT RESULTS IN HUMAN FATALITY OR INJURY, DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF THE DEBRIS OF WAR, SUCH AS LAND MINES, UNEXPLODED ORDNANCE, STOCKPILES OF WEAPONS AND ORDNANCE, AND OTHER RESIDUAL CONTAMINATION; AND TO DELIVER SUCH RELIEF BY (BUT NOT LIMITED TO): A) THE PROVISION OF TRAINING AND ASSISTANCE IN CLEARANCE AND RECONSTRUCTION; B) UNDERTAKING ANY PREVENTATIVE MEASURES THAT IMPROVE HUMAN SECURITY INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) SAFELY MANAGING, STORING, DESTROYING OR REDUCING THE AVAILABILITY OF STOCKPILES OF AMMUNITION, ARMS AND WEAPONS; C) PROVIDING NECESSARY MEDICAL SUPPORT AND EDUCATION NEEDED: AND

2) TO CARRY OUT RESEARCH INTO SOLVING THE PROBLEMS FACED BY THOSE WHOSE LIVES HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY CONFLICT AND TO DISSEMINATE ANY USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT.
