About my fundraising
This challenging walk (see www.lykewake.org) is a complete crossing of the North Yorkshire moors from Osmotherley to Ravenscar (see map on right) - a distance of approximately 40 miles and our aim is to complete it within 24 hours. Most walkers begin at around midnight thus aiming to complete the walk some 18+ hours later before it gets too dark as your body and legs will, by that time, be extremely weary and there is one final hill to climb at the end! We are doing this walk on our own rather than as part of a larger team and Terry's brother and wife will act as our 'support team' and will meet us at designated points with spare clothes/boots/food/words of encouragement etc and to pick us up at the end.
All donations, however small, will be very much appreciated as every penny raised will go to Uganda Concern UK which supports the work of Uganda Women Concern Ministry (UWCM). If you would like to know more about UWCM, please follow the links to their website www.ugandaco...
