Michelle Lepine is raising money for Dementia Forward
This is challenge number 3 on my "£40k for 40 years" mission! Starting in 2012 I set myself the challenge of raising £40,000 for various charities during my 40's by completing a major challenge every year until 2021 and hopefully making a difference to some great causes close to my heart! So far I have climbed Machu Picchu for Breast Cancer Care & completed the Kindrochit Quadrathlon for Mary's Meals & Mercy Corps.
On 1st August 2014 I shall be attempting to complete the Grimreaper Ultramarathon, a 40 mile run around Grimthorpe Estate in Lincolnshire. I shall be joined by my lovely friend Tricia Morales Macias - we are looking forward to keeping each other going during the months of hard training & on the day itself, as well as celebrating together in style afterwards, assuming we both survive!
Our chosen charities are Dementia Forward & Alzheimer's Society as we have both experienced the sadness & difficulty that dementia brings to sufferers and their families - Tricia's dad suffered with dementia as part of his battle with Parkinson's disease and my dad was diagnosed with dementia in early 2013.
We are very grateful for your time and encouragement with this challenge and your support with our fundraising.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Dementia Forward.
