About Lotus Caring Hands (LCH)
The war has drastically affected all aspects of life for people in Sri Lanka. Countless people were displaced by war and are still unable to return to their own homes and villages. The children and youth among them have lost years of education and consequently, the skills necessary to survive in that harsh environment; a substantial number of them are orphans living without their parents to give them appropriate direction and support. The administration in areas is working diligently with limited resources to cater to the basic daily needs of them. But it is not enough, and they need help from privileged people living in the western world.

LCH focuses on identifying projects and organisations which seek to empower local people and encourage them to see creative solutions which will be sustainable and contribute to development over the long term. Currently we work with carefully selected Partner Organisations in Sri Lanka.You can read more about our due diligence process and why we believe it is important to select the right charities. We enable the British community to be able to make a positive contribution through our three Programmes: 1. Education for youth & children 2.Emergency Relief & Disaster Preparedness 3.Orphans and Child Welfare
