About my fundraising

I am a 35 year old stay at home mom of two boys! Married to a wonderful man in the USAF. We got stationed here in England back in 2008. I have always loved to run. One of my goals in life has been to run a full marathon. I trained to run one with my father back in 2002, but was unable to finish training due to knee problems. I then went on to train with a close friend and ran a half marathon without any knee trouble. Then I finished my second half marathon in Conway Wales, this past November. Now in 2011 I am going to run the Brighton Marathon on April 10th. I decided to run for extra time brighton. They are a local regisitered charity that works with kids with a wide range of special needs. They run after school clubs and holiday schemes. I thought it was a perfect choice since I have a nephew with Downsyndromes and I know other children who are dear to my heart who could benefit from help like this.
