I have a fantastic opportunity to see first hand, the amazing "Warm Heart of Africa." Our Mission, to work with the people of this hospitable Country, to improve Health Care, Education & Child Care in rural areas where lives are short & hard, yet smiles are large, and welcomes massive. I aim to go to Malawi, 27th June this year, with enough money to meet some of the massive needs I envisage meeting whilst over there. For example, only 4% of the population have electricity.....would love to take several wind-up torches, £10 each. The Gross National Income in Malawi is £118 per annum. (£27,900 here.)These statistics are not secondary to war, there has been no conflict in Malawi, they are a peaceful, mainly Christian People. Life expectancy is 38. (78 here.) I would be proud to take some UK hospitality & kindness to Malawi, make a difference to a few lives, hopefully, whilst there, come home, & appreciate what is too often taken for granted here.
