About my fundraising

The community owns land on which we hope to build new facilities to replace the aging current ones. In the past, these old buildings adequately catered for 100 people in the village. The village has now grown to 2,500. In former days life in the village was vibrant with a strong active community. That community spirit and cohesion is now lost as people commute to surrounding areas for leisure activities. People who don't have cars can feel isolated as public transport is limited to one bus an hour into Glasgow. Our group will use a multipronged approach to seeking the 3-4 Million pounds required to build a centre a new football ground and other spaces for recreational use. We are not an economically deprived area so don't fit easily into public funding grants. However, we are definitely in the socially deprived category. Our aim is to achieve our target by taking a year on year approach to fundraising
