Event date: 13th September 2015
Jamie Tulloch is raising money for The Adam Millichip Foundation
With one of the most challenging bike and run courses on the IRONMAN annual calendar I will be in Pembrokeshire on Sunday 13th September 2015 to take part in the gruelling 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bicycle ride and a 26.2 mile marathon race (without a break).
I have done several marathons and long distance runs before now (including completing this year's London Marathon in a personal best time of 3hrs 15mins) but now in my thirties I really wanted to challenge myself before I am too old and the legs give up the ghost.
I have been thinking about doing this event for some time but have never taken the plunge and entered for whatever reason. That was until I came across the Adam Millichip Foundation a couple of years ago at an annual fundraising golf day that my work colleague helps organise and from that moment on I knew that I wanted to do my bit to help if I could.
The Foundation does some fantastic work to help disabled people get into sport and so I decided that I would definitely give this my best shot and try and raise as much as I could in order to try and help others less fortunate that myself!
I really hope that you will be able to help me to help others by way of donating some of your hard earned money and together we can try and make a difference to those that need it.
I will keep you all updated with my progress.
Many thanks for all of your help.
Jamie
