About my fundraising
I am raising money to support the works of Fredericks Foundation, a UK nonprofit micro-finance charity who helps the most marginalised segment of society to help themselves by funding business start-ups and expansions which banks would not support.
It is about giving a hands up, not a hands out.
In the Trading Places Challenge, I will be trying to live on unemployment benefits for a week and trying to raise a MINIMUM of the JSA amount of £67.50. Of course the more I raise the more I can support FF's work during a time when unemployment is above of 2.6 million and youth unemployment exceeding 1 million, and continued hard times forecast for the next 5 years.
