(I) TO RELIEVE THE NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD AMONGST REFUGEES, DISPLACED PERSONS AND ALL THOSE WHO HAVE FLED FROM OR HAVE BEEN FORCED TO LEAVE THEIR HOMES AS A RESULT OF WAR, PERSECUTION OR NATURAL DISASTER OVERSEAS AND AMONGST THOSE DISRUPTED COMMUNITIES FOLLOWING THEIR RETURN HOME: (II) TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN THE DIFFICULTIES EXPERIENCED BY REFUGEES AND DISPLACED PERSONS AND TO PROMOTE, ENCOURAGE, ASSIST, CO-ORDINATE AND CARRY OUT RESEARCH INTO THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF REFUGEES AND THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES AND TO PUBLISH THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH.
