TO RELIEVE BY SUCH MEANS AS ARE CHARITABLE CHILDREN, THE AGED AND PERSONS SUFFERING FROM MENTAL OR PHYSICAL DISABILITY WHO BY REASON OF THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE NEED OF FOSTER CARE OR SUBSTITUTE CARE; AND 2. TO PROMOTE AND ORGANISE CO-OPERATION IN ACHIEVING THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE QUALITY OF SERVICE GIVEN TO CHILDREN AND OTHERS IN CARE AND TO THAT END BRING TOGETHER ASSOCIATIONS OF FOSTER PARENTS, REPRESENTATIVES OF AUTHORITIES AND ORGANISATIONS ENGAGED IN ADVANCING FOSTER CARE AND RELIEVING DISTRESS OF CHILDREN AND OTHERS IN CARE AND TO ASSIST THEIR WORK.
