About IDE-UK

IDE-UK is a charity that strikes at the roots of rural poverty in some of the world?s poorest countries using an enterprise-based strategy. We work with poor farmers in Africa and Asia to design, manufacture and promote low-cost water technologies that enable them to grow the high-value crops that will ensure them a reasonable income. Furthermore, we help poor farmers to access local and regional markets so that they can sell their crops for a good profit. On average, each family that we support doubles their income. This extra income gives them food security, improves nutrition and gives them to opportunity to plan for the future, often for the very first time.
