Lake Windermere Charity Endurance Swim

On the 5th September 2014, 5 Soldiers from HQ Royal Signals will be attemtping to swim England's largest lake, Lake Windermere (10.5 miles), in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK and the Hoplite Fund. Some of those taking part will also be attempting to swim a return length covering a total distance of 21 miles! Assisting the 5 Soldiers in their efforts will be a team of canoeists who will provide safety on the water and assist the team to take on food and water to complete the challenge.

All donations will be split 50/50 between Cancer Research UK and The Hoplite Fund with NO DONATIONs contributing to the administration of the event. As the everyclick website only allows donation to 1 charity the Hoplite fund will donate 50% of all funds raised when event sponsorship closes 31 October 2014.
