About Handicap International UK
Handicap International is an international charity specialising in disability. We exist to support the needs of disabled people in countries affected by poverty and conflict. We provide both emergency relief and long term development support. Handicap International works in over 60 countries worldwide, providing or supporting activities in the fields of: - prevention(e.g mine clearance and road safety) - rehabilitation (e.g. physiotherapy and artificial limb fitting) - inclusion of disabled people through sports, work, education, etc - rights of disabled people - emergencies (e.g. Tsunami and Pakistan earthquake)
