3 courses in 1 day for Twinkle House - 05/06/2013

Event date: 5th June 2013

Andy Roper is raising money for Twinkle House

My story

On the 5th June 2013 I will be taking on a challenge of 3 golf courses in 1 day with 11 of my work colleagues from Merseyside Police.
This starts at 6am at Formby Hall Golf Club, then on to Royal Birkdale Golf Club and finally we should finish around about 21:30pm at Formby Old Couse. It is likely to mean walking on undulating terrain with golf clubs for about 15 miles as we play the three courses back-to-back.

Having done this in 2012 I can tell you the blisters, cramps and pains are testament to how tough it is. It may be 3 lovely courses but halfway through the hills of Royal Birkdale you want to curl up and sleep.

This year we are raising money for a superb local charity TWINKLE HOUSE.

Twinkle House provides practical and emotional support to children and young people 0-18 with disabilities and additional needs and their families living in and around West Lancashire.

Twinkle House is dependent of grants, donations and fundraising to be able to provide their valuable services to the community. All funds raised go directly to supporting sessions for children and young people that use their service or for specialist equipment.
