About my fundraising
My brother, Alexander, is autistic and attends Freeman College (http://rmt.org/freeman), which is a special college funded through the Ruskin Mill Educational Trust that provides support and education for students with learning difficulties after they have left school. The college offers many vocational classes, allowing the students to gain experience working in the bakery, the garden or even the on site forge so that they may one day be able to live with a degree of independence and have a skill they can call their own.
In order to raise both funds and awareness, I will be shaving my head on World Autism Awareness Day, which is on the second of April. Any of you that know me will know I have had my hair cut only once in the last 4 years, and so there is a fair amount of hair to remove, as can be seen in the photo of me with Alex.
Please give what you can for this brilliant college, I can only speak for my brother and say how much it has helped him come out of his shel...
