"Rosalind Blight, Fund-raising assistant of Tanya’s Courage Trust - Supporting Young People with Cancer will be having the charity logo tattooed across the width of her back, in order to help with the fundraising appeal for the £18,000.00 that is needed for the 2 Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Treatment Rooms in Treliske. As you can imagine, this is such a huge thing for Rosalind to do this for our appeal as after all a tattoo is for life, but she needs as much support as she can get. She really wants to make thousands to make it worthwhile, so please if you can help, please give generously and help Tanya's Courage reach their target of £18,000!!!! Thank you, your help is greatly appreciated. Sorry if it feels I am pestering but we really do need all the help we can get. If you dont feel able to sponsor maybe you could share this on your walls so all your friends can see it as well. Thanks guys support is really appreciated."

Urgent Appeal

I received an e-mail today from Terri Bush, a tireless and dedicated volunteer for the RNIB in charge of the stamps collection in the UK. It contained an urgent appeal which I'd like to share with you:

Dear Friends, I am writing to see if you can help us reach our £10,000 target from the stamp appeal by March 2010. We have only raised just over £6,000 so far and so our appeal really needs a big boost.

The RNIB website is www.rnib.org.uk which contains information of our work, fundraising, latest sight saving developments and lots more!

If everyone who read about our appeal passed on our details and they sent us stamps (even one!) we would hopefully not only raise much neded funds to provide over sixty services to blind and partially sighted people, but would also increase the awareness of our work.

Why not use the search engine 'Everyclick' so that you can raise money for us even while you are shopping! I have my own fundraisng page under RNIB Used stamp Appeal. Thank you again for your support. Best wishes,

Terri

John Thaw Foundation - Fund Raising Successes

I just thought I'd let you all know about this, and if you all want to help raise money for the foundation then click on the everyclick.com link on the right [of the page], and use it as your search engine and help raise money for this wonderful charity that helps young people less fortunate then ourselves.

Little Actors Youth Theatre based in Neston is pleased to announce some recent fund raising successes.

The John Thaw Foundation headed by his widow Sheila Hancock and daughter Joanne Thaw, has generously given a third donation to help subsidise the costs for the young people in the community. We can offer substantial discounts on the fees for young people from low income families.

everyclick.com

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and all that stuff.

I've found a couple of old profiles recently on my usual trawl around the internet.

Everyclick - The Charity Search Engine. It splits the revenue generated with UK Charities. You can nominate a particular charity or just donate to the general pot. If you sign up for a profile, you can keep track of how much you have raised.

I'd actually downloaded the toolbar originally and occasionally used it. Without realising it, I'd generated £2.99 for the Lace Market Theatre Trust.

I set up a group page on Wednesday so the nicer/cleaner URL can be used to publicise it (http://www.everyclick.com/lacemarkettheatre/).

The search engine has been improved since the first time I found it and you can now do basic ebay searches. It's ok if you know what you're looking for, but useless for random browsing. I have the Everyclick Group Page bookmarked now and I've raised another £0.71 simply by trying Everyclick before Google. You can use Everyclick with any UK Charity, so it's worth a look around and it's a free and easy way to raise funds.
