About my fundraising

On Sunday 9th October 2011, I will be running my first half marathon, which will be a big achievement for this sport-averse woman! I'd much rather be doing a nice yoga class. So, since I may never do such a long run again, I want to make it count by raising as much money as possible for the charity Invest in ME.

My beloved husband has suffered from ME/CFS for over a decade. It's an illness that is still poorly understood, and there is a great deal of misinformation and prejudice surrounding it. Invest in ME campaigns for and funds biomedical research, which is desperately needed. The charity is run entirely by volunteers, so all money raised goes directly to biomedical research.
