Esther Dadswell is raising money for Guildford Cathedral

My story

I've decided to jump off the #Guildford Cathedral tower on Saturday 26 April - but hopefully in a controlled way, to raise money for our MAKE YOUR MARK appeal!

MAKE YOUR MARK follows a remarkable fundraising achievement over half a century ago when more than 200,000 people, the Brick-givers, became a part of the Cathedral's story through helping to fund its construction. We need to raise £1.3m by August 2014, which will enable the Cathedral to apply for a £4.5m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The most urgent requirement for funds is to remove and replace crumbling plaster in the vaults which contains asbestos. At the same time improvements will be made to access, lighting and sound systems, bringing them up to 21st century standards, and new visitor resources developed to expand the range of cultural and educational activities we can offer.

Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Guildford Cathedral.
