About my fundraising

Steph and Katie have just completed their first 10km run in Liverpool, on the 8th May. As well as this run and other 10km they hope to do in the future, they are hoping to raise money for Equipe and 'fill the plate' through sponsorship. If you would like to show Steph and Katie your support you can sponsor them and help raise money for Fill the Plate. - It costs just 30p to provide one child in East Africa or the Philippines with a meal. However, most of these kids and their families can't afford the increasing cost of food - it's estimated that a staggering 80% of a family income can be spent on food in the developing world. That doesn't leave much room for a house, clothes, school, or the impact of drought, famine and an increasing family. At best kids are kept at home, helping out with chores, rather than sent to school where families are asked to contribute to the cost of school meals; at worst children go into child labour; scavenge on refuse sites; beg and/or steal.
