About my fundraising
Through total insanity I have signed up to do the Women's 5k Challenge on 11th September in Hyde Park. I am raising money for The ManKind Initiative, a small charity which supports male victims of domestic abuse.
1 in 3 victims of domestic abuse are men and yet provision of services severely lags behind that for women. The ManKind Initiative works for equality through various endeavours, including a helpline (01823 334244), advocacy work, campaigning etc.
The ManKind Initiative does not seek to undermine the work of charities for female victims, but seeks equality in provision of services so that all victims gain access to what they need, regardless of gender.
