About ELOP
ELOP is a lesbian & gay mental health charity that aims to promote, preserve & improve the mental, psychological, emotional, sexual, and social health; well-being; safety; and empowerment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGB&T) communities.
The charity runs an LGB&T community centre in East London and provides much needed support, counselling & information services, along with varied activities & community events, including: -advice & information, -signposting & supported referral, -support & advocacy, -community safety & victim support, -counselling services, -sexual health promotion & HIV prevention, -social support groups, -youth support project & schools workshop programme, -LGB&T parenting & family services, -activities, events & workshop, and -a range of community volunteering opportunities
In addition, ELOP is highly engaged in a range of consultation, training, representation & awareness raising initiatives to advocate for and provide an LGB&T voice.
Funds raised may be used to ...
100% of every £1 raised goes directly towards the continued development & delivery of ELOP support services, in particular to supporting our under and unfunded services, such as work with LGB&T Asylum Seekers, Young People, Community Safety work, Counselling Services & Family Support. Every £35 raised enables us to process, assess & start-up a new counselling referral. Every £20 raised enables us to provide a youth support session. Every £10 raisied enables us to provided 1 hour of info-line support.
