About my fundraising
Well, I 'failed' in that I hit the wall at 37.5 miles. All had been going well until then, walking at 4 miles an hour plus but, with very little warning I started shivering and feeling both sick and giddy. It would have been madness to continue.
I am inevitably disappointed, but I am glad I have tried. I wanted to do something that would be a real challenge and I always knew that it was as likely that I would fail to complete the distance as get the 40 miles. It was the trying that matters, rather than the perfection - something that the children who come to Step Together and their parents experience every day.
So thank you for supporting me and I hope you won't mind too much if my bodily limitations got in the way a little. Thanks to you, I have hit my target of £400 and I know that as I type this (on 28th July) there is still some more money to come in.
