About my fundraising
This page is dedicated to raising funds for the small charity Invest in ME to set up a Centre for Biomedical ME Research and Treatment, based at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK. The research will be of the most advanced possible, using virology and immunology as the key for examining patients, and would be used for more rapid provision of possible treatments for patients, at the same time building up the research database for ME and enabling new areas of cooperation with other biomedical research facilities. Healthcare professionals will benefit by up to date training and information with data on treatment outcomes and prognosis for patients. Some 250,000 people in UK have ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis also known as post-viral or chronic fatigue syndrome) 25% are severely affected, 10% are children. With no cure and very limited help for symptoms, advanced biomedical research leading to treatment is long overdue and is vitally important so Let's do it for ME!
