About Dogs for the Disabled
Dogs for the Disabled trains dogs to help disabled adults and children live life more independently. Every dog trained by the charity learns practical tasks such as opening doors, helping a person undress - even emptying a washing machine!
If an assistance dog can be trained to open a door, then a disabled person is no longer housebound but free to go out and live life to the full. For more information visit www.dogsforthedisabled.org.
