Over the last few years, we have been raised over £60,900 to build Dobrovat House in Romania for our project Way of Joy. Way of Joy works with marginalised people living in horrendous situations. Young children ekeing out an existing in ghetto blocks with no heating, lighting, sanitation or running water - rejected by society. Dobrovat House is their chance for a few hours of escapism from their poverty. We will be giving the chance for these families to come and learn all about social skills in the confines of "normality" - something that they cannot experience as they are living now. Dobrovat House will facilitate Camp Away for up to 40 children at a time, a holiday that these kids could only ever dream out. Core staff will be given basic couselling training to enable them to pass that onto those in desperate need.
