Glasgow to Edinburgh Ultra Marathon

Jon Ritchie and David Anderson are the two halves of the Dashing Accountants. To be a Dashing Accountant requires two key things.

1. You must dash, or at least plod for a while.
2. You must be an accountant. Or at least account for something. Your actions, perhaps?

Having run along a Wall already, they're now planning on something a little stranger. How about running between two cities? In Scotland? Yep, that sounds about right. On April 5, they'll set off from Glasgow at an unspeakably early hour and dash, run, plod and probably crawl to Edinburgh. To a Dashing Accountant this sounds like fun.

They'll do it in 12 hours. This, too, counts as fun if you're a Dashing Accountant.

Because they're not totally stupid*, they know that a bit of motivation goes a long way. And because they've tried this kind of thing before they know that lovely money works pretty well, and the thought that they need to keep going to raise a quid or two for a good cause.

That's where you come in. Every pound makes them nearly half a percent more likely to make it through. So if they reach £200 there's virtually no chance** they won't make it through to the finish.

So go on, spin us a quid and it'll make us all the runnier. We also promise to stop talking about ourselves in the third person.

POST RACE UPDATE: Well, we did it. Or at least David did (Jon had a wonky ankle and packed in after 33 miles). It was fun, well sort of!. Thanks again for your support.
