About Council for British Archaeology
The CBA has worked for over 65 years to promote sharing, enjoyment and preservation of the UK's heritage. We have been instrumental in bringing about great changes to the face of archaeology and our mission is to carry this work on and to help more people engage with and learn from the UK's fantastic archaeological heritage.

The money you raise for the CBA will help us make a difference for the archaeology of the UK in a number of vital ways: 1) Support young people in their desire to get involved with archaeology. 2) Help support a network of Listed Building Volunteers who monitor listed building consents across the UK. 3) Support the Festival of British Archaeology which is a two week extravaganza of archaeological events across the UK aimed at providing opportunities for people to get involved with archaeological projects and gain valuable knowledge and understanding of the UK's archaeological heritage. 4) Provide an online resource for community archaeologists or anyone interested in running a community archaeology project to share information. 5) Help CBA lobby for protection of the UK's archaeology. 6) Help CBA research and lobby education providers about the current state of archaeological training and education with the aim of encouraging more opportunities for people to get involved.
