Core (the working name of the Digestive Disorders Foundation) funds research onto the whole range of disorders and diseases that can affect the digestive system. We are currently supporting a number of Research Fellows at hospitals and Universities throughout the country, investigating conditions such as pancreatitis, hepatitis, ulcerative colitis and Crohn?s Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Hirschprung?s Disease. In collaboration with the British Society of Gastroenterology, we have also launched a Digestive Cancer Campaign. Through this campaign, we are funding four collaborative research centres, investigating cancers of the bowel, oesophagus, pancreas and stomach. All research that we fund is rigorously assessed, peer-reviewed and subject to regular progress reports.
