I recently ran the Experian Robin Hood Festival of Running Half Marathon in Nottingham on Sunday 12th September to raise money for Dove Cottage Day Hospice and The Mount Group Riding for the Disabled. It was an incredible day and I managed to stick to a sensible pace, helping me to avoit hitting the dreaded wall and finish in a time of 1hr 51min 39secs. Undoubtedly, the thought of my two excelent charities and the extraordinary generosity of my sponsors was an inspiration, not only on the day, but also on all of those endless training runs. I began pounding the streets regularly last year as a way of managing stress during a pretty tough time in my life. I still don't find it easy, but have become hopelesly addicted to the buzz you get from it, usually at the finish! Please support me and help to raise funds for these brilliant charities surely they are worth a few quid of your hard-earned wages!!.
