Save the Children

Save the children is an NGO based in 120 different countries and aims at protecting children, and providing them with basic needs (food, water, clothes, shelter, education and healthcare) and as much relief and help as possible.

Funds raised may be used to:

Every penny that you donate can change a child's life; a small donation as much as £10 could provide a child with a school bag kit or shoes, which remain expensive luxuries in some African countries. This will allow them to go to school and build up on their education. £10 could also be used to buy winter clothes for babies and young children, in countries like the Tibet and Mongolia, where temperatures can drop below minus 40 degrees celsius.
A slightly higher donation of £15 could supply a birth kit for a mid wife in India for example. This will help health workers in bringing more children in the world safely.
With just £20, a food basket could be given to prevent children from dying of hunger or help them in eating a balanced meal.
£30 could be used to buy a water filter, in countries where children have no choice, but drink unclean and life-threatening water.
