About ChildHope
ChildHope is a small UK charity working internationally with vulnerable children. It was established by UNICEF to work with street children. In partnership with local organisations we currently support projects in the following countries: Asia ? Bangladesh, India, Thailand Africa ? Ethiopia, Kenya, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda. Latin America ? Brazil, Mexico, Peru. Originally ChildHope?s work focussed on improving the lives of street and working children by providing them with access to basic welfare needs such as shelter, clothing, food and education. While we still provide this kind of support, our projects are now designed to try and prevent children being forced on to the streets in the first place. This means taking a wider approach that deals with some of the causes of social exclusion as well as tackling the difficult circumstances faced by these children in their everyday lives.

FOR THE RELIEF OF NEED, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS ARISING THEREFROM AMONG THOE PERSONS KNOWN AS STREET CHILDREN BEING CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF MAJORITY WHO LIVE WITHOUT THE PROPER SUPPORT OF PARENTS OR OTHER GUARDIANS AND WITHOUT PROPER AND ADEQUATE SHELTER AND THE PROTECTION OF THE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH OF SUCH PERSONS ALL WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE SO THAT THEY MAY GROW TO FULL MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY FOR FURTHER DETAILS SEE CLAUSE 3 (A-E) OF THE MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION.
