About Butterfly Conservation
Butterfly Conservation is working hard to halt and reverse the decline of Britain's butterflies and moths. Our vision is to create a world rich in butterflies and moths for future generations to enjoy.

- £5 can buy 10 wildflower seed packs to plant new nectar rich flowers for butterflies. - £10 can buy 20 primrose plants, providing food for Duke of Burgundy caterpillars. - £20 means we can clear 100 sq metres of brambles -the Grizzled Skipper butterfly thrives on old industrial sites like rubbish tips and railway lines but can only breed where the vegetation is kept short. - £30 will allow us to employ a contractor to coppice 100 sq metres of woodland. Letting light into overgrown areas encourages wild violets grow, providing food for High Brown Fritillary caterpillars.

THE STUDY, CONSERVATION AND PRESERVATION OF NATURAL FAUNA AND FLORA PARTICULARLY SPECIES OF BUTTERFLIES AND MOTHS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND ELSEWHERE, BY CONSERVING THEM IN THE WILD BY SUCH MEANS AS ARE AVAILABLE INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THROUGH THE CREATION AND CONSERVATION OF NATURAL, SEMI-NATURAL OR OTHER HABITATS.
2. TO PROMOTE, UNDERTAKE AND SPONSOR SCIENTIFIC STUDY AND RESEARCH INTO THE HABITS, DISEASES AND LIFE-CYCLES OF SUCH FLORA AND FAUNA AND PARTICULARLY BUTTERFLIES AND MOTHS AND THEIR LIFE-CYCLES IN RELATION TO AGRICULTURAL, HORTICULTURAL, INDUSTRIAL AND HUMAN PRACTICES AND ACTIVITIES AND TO DISSEMINATE THE RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH AS WIDELY AS POSSIBLE.
3. TO PROMOTE OR UNDERTAKE CONSERVATION AND SOUND MANAGEMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC GENERALLY OF LANDS OF ECOLOGICAL OR OTHER SCIENTIFIC IMPORTANCE.
