About The Conservation Volunteers

The conservation Volunteers are the UK-wide charity dedicated to transforming people's lives and improving places and communities through environmental volunteering and skills and training. Through this, we aim to achieve better environment where people are valued, included and involved. We operate at the heart of local communities, working with local people and inspiring 300,000 people from all backgrounds and walks of life to look after more than 50,000 places in every corner of the UK. The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) is a trading name of BTCV.

Funds raised may be used to ...

? £5 could buy enough seeds to start a wildflower meadow ? £10 could buy shrubs to bring butterflies back into an urban garden ? £25 could provide plants for a ?sensory garden? for elderly and disabled people to enjoy ? £350 would pay for an experienced project officer to support a community group for a whole day

B) THE MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF NATURE RESERVES AND OTHER SITES OF BIOLOGICAL, SCIENTIFIC OR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPORTANCE. 2) TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE OF CONSERVATION THROUGH VOLUNTEERING AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT. 3) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE PROVISION OF TRAINING. IN PARTICULAR:- A) IN PRACTICAL CONSERVATION SKILLS. B) BASIC SKILLS. C) SKILLS TO IMPROVE EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS.
