About British Liver Trust
Liver Disease is the only major cause of death on the increase in the UK, and it is mainly preventable as the majority of liver disease is caused by alcohol, obesity or viral Hepatitis. British Liver Trust raises awareness of liver disease and how to care for your liver; we provide advice, support and information for people living with liver disease and we support research into causes and treatments. Anyone can be at risk, but with your support we can let more people know how to keep their liver healthy and avoid this devastating disease. We are a registered charity - your donations help us continue our work and save lives. TO UNDERTAKE AND PROMOTE MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH RELATING TO DISEASES AND DISORDERS OF THE LIVER AND SUBJECTS RELATIVE THERETO INCLUDING THE CAUSES, EFFECTS, DIAGNOSIS, PREVENTION, POSSIBLE CURES AND TREATMENT OF ALL SUCH LIVER DISEASES AND DISORDERS INCLUDING RESEARCH INTO LIVER TRANSPLANT TECHNIQUES AND OTHER SURGICAL TECHNIQUES AND THE DISSEMINATION OF SUCH USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH BY ALL POSSIBLE MEANS AND AS WIDELY AS POSSIBLE TO ALL WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM IT AND SO FAR AS POSSIBLE THE CO-ORDINATION OF SUCH RESEARCH; TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION AND AWARENESS OF LIVER DISEASES AND DISORDERS; TO PROMOTE HEALTH EDUCATION IN SUBJECTS RELATING TO THE LIVER AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE REHABILITATION AND RELIEF OF THOSE WHO SUFFER FROM LIVER DISEASES AND DISORDERS.
