The Christian School of Wirobrajan, Yogyakarta, which is known as the BOPKRI School, was started in early 1960 as a part of the church service for dis-advantaged people group in the rural-urban area of Yogyakarta. At present there have been developed educational service for kindergarten, elementary and secondary levels, and a maritime academy. There are 348 students altogether have attended in the school programs, but more than 92% of them have to be assisted with sponsors or other kind of support. The present buildings is located in a site of about 2,000 square meters portion of land have included a church and its compact offices plus a two floor buildings for educational services, but without enough rooms for laboratories and ecological field that have become urgent conditions for a basic educational standard in the country.
