About Bobath Children's Therapy Centre Wales
Bobath Childrens Therapy Centre Wales is a registered charity, which provides specialist Bobath therapy for children throughout Wales who have cerebral palsy.
Cerebral palsy is caused by damage to a baby or young child?s brain. This affects a child?s ability to move and develop in the normal way and they may have great difficulty with everyday activities, such as talking, eating, getting dressed, playing with toys and sometimes even breathing can be a monumental task. There is no cure for cerebral palsy, but the specialist therapy we provide gives a child the skills to explore the world, communicate their needs, maximise their potential and so, improve their quality of life.
Cerebral palsy is an ever-increasing disability group & the largest in the country today, any woman who is pregnant could have a child with cerebral palsy and there is no test that can be carried out to identify an ?at risk group.?
